I got my daughter to stay up late last night because I had a few words to say to her. She was supposed to be back early from school to wrestle with a pile of assignments of her correspondence course, however, she didn't come home in good time.
I think she has been doing pretty well at school and I'm satisfied with her grades so far, but I don't think she has stood on her head. I understand that she already has a lot on her plate: sports and committee activities she belongs to. She is also young enough to be energetic and curious, and there are many things appealing to her. She needs to hang around with her friends, of course. Having said that, I'm really worried about the fact that she seems to think she has still lots of time to go, but I'm afraid that's not true... Time passes quickly at any age.
We cannot build on someone's help in our lives. I'll do as much as I can do for her, but there is a limit to my support. She went to bed with tears last night. I hope she's just awared of what she ought to do.
