After usual volleyball practice, I headed for a restaurant to join an English club for the second time. The club is open to everybody, and a native speaker of English from the U.S. is always there to be an instructor. I happened to find this club last month when I had lunch with my friends. The restaurant serves pretty delicious British cuisine, and the participants are supposed to order lunch as a lesson fee. Fabulous! ^^
I thoroughly enjoyed myself as usual. Sue, our affable instructor, shot some intriguing questions about 1) memories of our childhood
, and all of us had a pleasant conversation sharing 2) each story and history
curry yesterday. It was very spicy, and I liked
it very much. The
chicken was tender, and the chickpeas left a nice taste in my mouth. The salad was fresh and juicy, and the
healthy brown bread was filling in a good way.
After having lunch, I chatted with the members over tea. And then...well, I cannot remember clearly how it occurred, but one of them suggested that we start another English club and I was invited to her lovely housing. Thirty minutes later, I was in her cozy living room with another English learner! The
three of us shared our ideas on how to improve our English skills. The week after next, I'm supposed to visit her again to speak only English for almost two hours. I'm going to prepare something from one of my English textbooks.
I didn't expect that I would have another English club here. Fortunately something new seems 3) to be going to
begin! 4) I cannot wait to see my new English fellows, who all have a great command of English!
1) childhood memories
2) our stories and histories with each other.
3) about to
4) I cannot wait to see my new English learning partners, who all have a great command of English!
