A Flop

Today's English lessons fell flat. I was a bit down on myself on my way home. I'd prepared for some games, warm-up activities, and topics for small talk other than the usual teaching materials, but unfortunately my students didn't look absorbed in them. I saw a student yawning even when she was working on her paper in a group. It's embarrassing to say, but these kinds of unfevorable moments sometimes happen in class. And I'd say the results don't connect with the amount of preparation time I spend on. Does it have to do with my students' motivation in class? Some of them obviously look sleepy after burning the midnight oil at work. Or does it have to do with my carelessness? It might be true that my lessons go stale as time passes.
I bought this book to hit the ground running.

I'm not a party person. I'm not good at having fun with games or activities. Enjoying games as a leader is a bit tall order for me, but if it needs be, there is no choice. I might be able to find a new path in my life. So, just read and have fun!
