Should there be more decentralization of government?
I'm for decentralization of government for the following three reasons.
First, it's a great way to avoid confusion caused by earthquakes, tsunami, eruption, landslide and so on. These days, Japan is unstable because of unpredictable natural disasters. Once a city is attacked, its function is paralyzed. If it happens to a capital city, the country cannot function properly.
Secondly, decentralization of government has a possibility to employ more talented people from rural areas. Divided government around the country must be easy to access for young people living in the country because they don't have to be away from their hometowns.
Thirdly, decentralized goverment can get a benefit from each district. A town nearby sea can be useful to observe something relating to the ocean, and a city surrounded mountains can be a fortress keeping away from typhoons. According to a feature of the diistrict, each town can work respectively. Even if a town is devastated, other towns will make up for it.
In conclusion, I'm for decentralization of government because of its safety and flexibility. The policy is something like an insurance in case of an emergency.
